Collection of Pop Cans/Tabs Fund 7 New Wheelchairs at SMGH

Seven new wheelchairs have been purchased for the Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital (SMGH) thanks to the collection of pop cans & tabs by the “Liz and Friends Wheelchair Fund” volunteers.   This extraordinary group of volunteers have been collecting pop cans and tabs for two years in order to raise an incredible $1,600 for new wheelchairs at SMGH. 

“There is a great need for more wheelchairs in various departments at the hospital, which is why this donation is so greatly appreciated,” says Susan McLean, SMGH Foundation CEO.

Anyone interested in collecting and donating their used pop cans or tabs to this group of volunteers is encouraged to contact Liz Richards at 519-786-2845.
